On Jan. 18th, 2013, Headway & NSO staff got together for the Annual Party to celebrate the New Year 2013.
Besides employees from Headway and NSO, representatives from classifications such as ABS，BV，CCS，DNV，GL and so on, customers from several shipping companies such as Qingdao Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd., SDSC, Shanghai Hong Xiang Corp., Ltd., COSCO WALLEM Ship Management Co., Ltd., Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. and Yangfan Group Co., Ltd. were invited to the party as well as cooperative partners from Greece, Turkey and Norway, to celebrate the new year together.
The Party began with a wonderful song “Harmonious Home” and became more and more exciting with dazzling display of dance, crosstalk, sketches and calligraphy. The Party gave staff a showing stage while everyone is enthusiastic to participate, fully demonstrating the optimistic, united and positive cooperate culture, also reflecting the unlimited passion and vitality of enterprise. Singing, applause and cheers echoed in the magnificent Ballroom.
During the Party, Mr. Cao Xueliang, President of NSO and Headway made a speech, and mentioned that in 2012, the winter year of shipbuilding industry, Headway & NSO still made gratifying achievements in business, including OceanGuardTM Ballast Water Management System (BWMS), Headway® Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS), Headway® Voyage Data Recorder (VDR/SVDR) and Headway® Bridge Navigation Watch Alarm System (BNWAS) , all have made progress not only in performance, research & development, but also certification. To create high-tech marine equipment and a national brand is the corporate vision of Headway, even in tough times; Headway had remained in compliance with the vision and made efforts to do business. At the same time, Cao also expressed sincere gratitude not only to the partners from around the world, but also all the employees for whose dedicated work and arduous efforts.
In 2012, OceanGuardTM BWMS had covered bulk cargo carrier, container ship, oil tanker, luxury cruise, research vessel, multi-purpose vessel, semi-submerged ship, tug, platform supply vessel, coastal patrol vessel, barge and so on, providing a variety of references of design and installation experience for customers , with the most export volume among BWMS in China . Furthermore, Headway hacked its way through difficulties and won orders from Japan and Korean, making OceanGuard the first BWMS brand into Japan and Korean market, which not only improved once again the Headway brand awareness in the world, but also greatly inspired Headway morale. In addition, Headway had also obtained additional orders from old clients, such as Italy Carnival cruise company, Singapore POET, SITC group, fully reflecting the customers’ recognition to Headway work and products, which encouraged Headway to make continuous efforts creating and innovating satisfying products and services.
Apart from the impressive performance OceanGuardTM BWMS achieved, in 2012, other products were also doing well. Headway® ECDIS had successfully type approved by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) and obtained Type Approval Certificate issued by GL, which is the first EC Approved ECDIS in China while Headway® BNWAS had obtained both EC and CCS Type Approval Certificate.
In addition, in 2012, Headway had passed high-tech enterprise review and was upgraded to Two-star “China Patent Shandong Star Enterprise” while Headway® VDR/SVDR passed Shandong Brand review. OceanGuardTM BWMS had been honored as “Qingdao Brand” for its unique product advantages and leading technology and 2012 first set of technical equipment of China in Shandong Province. In 2012, Headway had won 4 invention patents and 1 model patents.
2012 is not an ordinary year for Headway. Raise news sails and show the new styles in the coming year. In 2013, Headway will continuously adhere to the vision of “create high-tech marine equipment and a national brand” to open a new journey with high-spirit.
