The 2023 Marintec China started on December 5, 2023, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, and Headway Technology Group (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. brought her largest lineup of products to booth D3A in Hall W4, showing the latest low-carbon solutions for shipping. Those products included Methanol Fuel Supply System, Exhaust Gas Cleaning System, Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage System, and Ballast Water Treatment System (including the latest deep catalytic filterless model). On the morning of Dec 5, a certification ceremony was held at the Headway booth, where the Ocean Guard ® Ammonia Fuel Supply System officially obtained the DNV’s Approval in Principle (AIP), marking the expansion of Headway's low-carbon product ecology and the authoritative recognition from marine industry.

At the certification ceremony, Zhao Rui, Manager of Headway Maritime New Energy Dept., introduced the advantages and progress of the Ocean Guard ® Ammonia Fuel Supply System to the guests and audience. It was reported that the system consists of ammonia fuel containment system, ammonia fuel supply module, BOG treatment system, auxiliary heating/cooling system and nitrogen generation unit and so on. Based on the features of modular design and redundancy structure, Headway can provide tailored ammonia supply solutions for customers according to ship type, to make it flexible, efficient, safe and reliable. Headway’s system also make it possible to use one-key start and fault self-check.

In this exhibition, the number of low-carbon solutions and products exhibited by Headway Technology Group is the largest ever. Among them, the carbon neutrality section composed of methanol fuel supply system (LFSS), carbon capture utilization and storage system (CCUS) and exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS) has become the focus of attention, and many exhibitors came to the Headway booth to ask for product information and discuss about cooperation. In the water treatment sector, based on the successful experience in the field of ballast water treatment system, Headway has recently launched a deep catalytic (filterless) ballast water treatment system, providing more choices to shipowners.

As one of the world's most influential and important maritime exhibitions in 2023, this year's Marintec China covered a total area of more than 95,000 square meters, receiving more than 2,000 well-known enterprises and more than 80,000 professional visitors from more than 100 countries and regions.  They were to discuss the latest trends of the shipping industry and hot topics such as low-carbon shipping, new energy, and smart ships.
