Headway redefined her vision as “Innovation for Better Low Carbon Solution”and formed a new ecology of low carbon oriented products.

Headway established the Alternative Fuel Test Center, together with HEU Yantai Research Institute.

Headway was selected as a national Specialized and Sophisticated  "Little Giant" enterprise, and was certified as the 1st one in BWMS industry for“Integration Of Informatization and Industrialization Management Systems”by MIIT.

January, Headway Technology Co., Ltd. was officially renamed as "Headway Technology Group (Qingdao) Co., Ltd.";

- May, Headway was approved as China Intellectual Property Model Enterprise;

- June, Headway Joined Ballast Equipment Manufacturer Association (BEMA);

- November, OceanGuard^® obtained USCG Type Approval;

November, the construction of Headway Ballast Water Management System Industrial Facility was complete;

August, OceanGuard® BWMS passed the Environmental Tests for USCG Type Approval;

May 2015. After a 5-month period testing, OceanGuard® BWMS passed land-based tests phase for USCG Type Approval and became the first in Asia and fastest in the world to pass the LB test cycles.

February, OceanGuard® BWMS obtained Liberian Type Approval Certificate.

December, 2014. A Seminar themed in “Retrofitting and Promotion on Ballast Water Management System in Existing Vessels” was held by Headway in Sheraton Hotel, Taipei. Giant Ship Yard, Shipping Company, Classification Society and academic organizations participated.

October, 2014. The Sixth Generation of Headway VDR obtained CCS Type Approval. 

August, 2014. OceanGuard® BWMS obtained LR Type Approval.

June, 2014. OceanGuard® BWMS obtained ABS Type Approval.

May, 2014. OceanGuard® BWMS obtained RS Type Approval.

May, 2014. Headway launched the six generation of VDR according to (IMO) MSC-333 (90).

March, 2014. Headway obtained several patents in Ballast Water Management and Shipboard Navigation Radar.

February, 2014. OceanGuard® BWMS obtained NK Type Approval.

OceanGuard® BWMS became the first BWMS worldwide to get full-scale DNV Type Approval;

OceanGuard® BWMS successfully obtained AMS Certificate issued by U. S. Coast Guard;

Headway Signed Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Yangfan Group;

OceanGuard® BWMS successfully obtained RINA Type Approval Certificate.

In Nov., 2011, OceanGuard^® Ballast Water Management System successfully obtained Type Approval Certificate issued by Det Norske Veritas AS (DNV) on behalf of the Administration;

In Oct., 2011, OceanGuard^® Ballast Water Management System won the Gold Award of 2011 Scientific and Technological Innovation Products;

In July 2011, Qingdao Headway Technology Co., Ltd. reached cooperation with Costa Crociere S.p.A, an Italian shipping company, which opened a new era for overseas installation of OceanGuard^® BWMS;

In March 2011, OceanGuard^® Ballast Water Management System successfully obtained Type Approval Certificate issued by China Classification Society (CCS);

In October 2010, OceanGuard® Ballast Water Management System received the order of Maritime Cruse 01 Ship, which is the maritime cruising salvage ship with the largest tonnage and the most advanced equipment in China;In August 2010, OceanGuard® Ballast Water Management System received the order of semi-submerged ship from Offshore Oil Engineering (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.

In December 2009, Voyage Data Recorder of Qingdao Headway Technology Co., Ltd. won the title of 2009 Shandong Famous-brand Product

In October 2009, Qingdao Headway Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the first batch of High-tech Enterprise

In October 2009, the embedded voyage data recorder pilot plant test and industrialization project won the Technology Golden Bridge Award

In June 2009, Qingdao Headway Marine Technology Co., Ltd. was officially renamed as “Qingdao Headway Technology Co., Ltd.”

In September 2007, Qingdao Headway Technology Co., Ltd. successfully passed German BSH certification, marking the product production environment has reached international advanced level.

In May 2006, Headway obtained CCS certificate and became the first certified company in China that independently produces SVDR with float-free PDC.
