Recently, a strategic cooperation agreement was concluded between the largest Thai ship-owner Precious Shipping and Headway Technology Co., Ltd, according to which, Headway will be the only supplier to arrange ballast water management solutions for all their existing vessel. The agreement covers 22 existing Bulk Carriers sailing in American route. In order to tackle the on-going USCG standard, Precious Shipping attaches great importance to manufacturer’s potential of obtaining USCG type approval. As for now, Headway has successfully passed all land based tests for USCG Type Approval, and ready for final approval. With OceanGuard® Ballast Water Management System on board, Precious Shipping certainly ensured the smooth voyage of its fleet in America.
For the past years, Headway took lots of efforts on market developing in South-East Asia. With the effectiveness of this agreement, Headway’s order in south-east Asia will exceed 100 orders including new building and retrofitting for vessel of all types. With years of experience in ballast water management, and thanks to professional capability and practice, Headway has summarized a series of solution for all vessel types. Combined with a comprehensive global service network, Headway has established a full-scale, one strop service for customized ballast water management service and solution.
Owning 45 existing bulk carriers, Precious Shipping was the largest bulk carrier owner in Thailand. Before this agreement, Precious has already made 16 orders with OceanGuard® Ballast Water Management System and some other vessels with BWMS from other manufacturer. Compared in operation, OceanGuard® turns to be the most stable BWMS with low maintenance cost and comprehensive service system. Taking all those factors into consideration, Precious Shipping decided to have a strategic cooperation agreement with Headway Technology. With the sign of this agreement, the cooperation relationship between Headway and Precious Shipping has been further enhanced. Headway will undoubtedly be the protagonist in ballast water management market in south-east Asia.
