Headway recently concluded a contract with Mawei Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. to provide BWMS for 4+4 newbuilding container ship ordered by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). It was reported that MSC struck the deal of 8 Bangkokmax container ships, which will be delivered in the second half of 2023. The contract indicates Headway has been recognized by the largest container shipowner in the world.

MSC has overtaken Maersk as the world’s largest container line by operated container vessel capacity in late 2021. According to the data from Alphaliner, MSC operates 664 vessels that carry 4.35 million TEUs.

“More shipowners are turning to Headway for variety of BWM technologies”, said the project manager of Headway, “the contract indicates Headway has been recognized by MSC for its R&D ability, product quality, and service network”.
