On May 17th ,Headway Technology (Qingdao) Co. Ltd held a promotion meeting as the theme “The Retrofitting of Ballast Water Management System for Operating Vessel” in the Mumbai Intercontinental Hotal.More than 20 represents from shipowner and management companies participated in this meeting such as SCI，Essar Shipping、Synergy、M Pallongji、S Pallongji、SNP、Legacy、IRS Classification Society and VEDAM Institution and do on.
During this meeting, the leader from Plan Approval Center of IRS Classification Society interpreted the IMO and USCG convention and the new G8 rules.In addition,they introduced trouble shooting of BWMS and the rules of indicative sample and answered those questions from shipowners. Then the sales manager from Headway introduced detailed information about the technical advantages of OceanGuard system BWMS and the policy of pre-sale and after sales and retrofitting service of operating vessels and system maintenance.The sales manager also answered those questions that users care. About the solutions of handling fresh water,Headway team said, ballast water can be discharged directly in most ports from all over the world without injecting any salt water by virtue of the advanced electro-catalysis oxidation process of OceanGuard BWMS.
About the solution of handling high turbidity and low salinity water, Headway team gave detailed information. According to related test report certificated by USCG type approval,OceanGuard can operate according to rated flow of system and the power consumption of the system will not increase dramatically without reducing the flow or opening the freshwater mode separately.
