Recently, Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. has enter into a contract with Headway Technology Co., Ltd on ballast water management system retrofitting for four 6600TEU container vessels. With the settlement of the contract, the very first retrofitting order in Taiwan has come to a close. Till now, Headway has won 34 orders in Taiwan including retrofitting orders.

By the virtue of technical ability and cooperation with shipping companies, Headway has been capable to provide retrofitting for all three kind of main vessel forms (Bulk Carrier, Container Carrie, Tanker) and other special vessel types. Starting 2014, Headway has focused on retrofitting market in Taiwan, discussions were taken place between Headway technical specialists and ship owners. Based on the satisfying cooperation in the past, Yang Ming made a decisive decision to have Headway as the solution for the first retrofitting project in Taiwan.
